Our Campaign

Why We’re Launching a Reward Crowdfunding Campaign

​

We are proud to announce that Helensburgh Cricket & Rugby Football Club has been selected as one of only six projects in the UK, and the only club in Scotland, to receive the British Gas “Energy for Tomorrow” grant, under the Scottish Gas banner in partnership with Team GB and ParalympicsGB.

 

This is a huge achievement for our club and a fantastic opportunity for our community. The grant allows us to carry out vital energy efficiency improvements to our clubhouse and facilities, ensuring we reduce running costs, cut our carbon footprint, and create a sustainable home for sport in Helensburgh. Planned improvements include new loft insulation, modern hot water tanks and boilers, solar panels to reduce electricity bills, and LED lighting throughout the clubhouse and pitches.

How It Works

​

The total project cost is £51,000.

 

  • We must raise £17,000 through our Reward Crowdfunding Campaign.

  • For every £1 we raise, Scottish Gas will contribute £2.

  • This means every donation up to £250 per person is tripled, turning £250 into £750 for the club.

​

The campaign will run from 15th September to 31st October 2025.

​

Why It Matters

​

These upgrades will make the clubhouse warmer, more welcoming, and cheaper to run, freeing up funds to invest back into our players, our youth programmes, and our community. With lower energy costs, we can keep membership fees affordable, open our facilities to more community groups, and ensure the club thrives for generations to come.
