🤣 “LAUGHS, ONE MIC, AND A NIGHT TO REMEMBER”

Comedy Night – 01 August 2025 at Helensburgh Cricket & Rugby Football Club

They came, they joked, they conquered and we’re still recovering from the laughter.

Friday night saw Helensburgh Cricket & Rugby Club transformed into a full-blown comedy arena, with a stellar lineup that delivered more punchlines than a front row in a scrum-off at Murrayfield.. The crowd came for laughs and left with sore cheeks, full hearts, and another great night at the Club.

First up was Rob Kane, the compère for the evening and what a way to kick things off. This is the fourth time Rob has been at the club, so we knew already he wouldn’t disappoint. Equal parts charming and chaotic, Rob whipped the crowd into shape like a Glaswegian game show host with zero rules and even fewer filters.

Then came Graham Mackie, back once again, and a fan favourite. He quickly got the crowd going after he helped us figure out who he looked like and with the support from our fifth comedian (you know who you are…J), the duo definitely filled the room with laughs.

Kenny Sinclair stormed the stage next like he had just sidestepped a full forward pack on the way there. With sharp one liners Kenny brought big energy and even bigger laughs. His stories hit home harder from than a tackle on a wet Saturday, leaving the crowd wheezing like they’d just done broncos on the pitch all day.

Closing the night with a magical mic drop was Chris Dinwoodie – a man who somehow made sleight of hand, sarcasm, and stand-up all work at once. We still aren’t sure how he pulled off half his tricks…especially that floating mic one 🎤.

👏 The verdict? A knockout night of comedy at HCRFC. If you missed it, condolences. If you were there tell your mates, bring a team next time, and prepare for more nights like this.
